BitterSweetPea started as a vision years ago. The whole meaning of the name itself represents life. We go through highs and lows, ups and downs, ebbs and flows, which are all the bittersweet moments of our being. The ‘pea’ element is that hope, that happiness, that spark of the soul. It is the dream-come-true, it is seed of wonder, that breath of freedom, and in some cases, that precious little baby.

Inspiration spins me into a whirlwind of ideas. I have to tackle my imagination into reality by creating my work. Since most of my work is self-taught, it takes time and attention to detail. I love to know the back-story and history that surrounds my ideas and crafts, so I do a lot of research. I love research and asking a lot of questions – I love to know “Why?”!
My crafts have a ‘connection’ as I say. This connection is a link through me, as the crafter/creator, to the buyer, as a recipient/holder. I believe we have an understanding of the feelings and purpose encircling my work. My items are handmade and homemade. They are made with love, intent, and spirit. Also, I love to use natural and eco-friendly materials, recycling and re-purposing when possible.

Being a true Aquarian, I am an Artist. Many forms of Art have captured my heart from Dance, to Creative Writing, to Photography, to Music, to Fashion, to Pottery, to Jewelry, to even a bit of Theatre in my younger years. (Needless to say, I have many Interests and Passions!) Life inspires me, especially Nature. It seems creativity is rooted in my Spirit.
Born and raised in New Jersey and having family in New York, I didn’t have to travel far to visit many museums, concerts, plays, musicals, and galleries. I was able to experience cultures, history, foods, sights and sounds. My parents assisted me in these many adventures. My mother is a Renaissance Woman, herself (at least I consider her to be). ;)
I now live on what we like to “Triple J Ranch” (JJJ) in rural Vermont. The flow of Mother Nature around us is absolutely delightful. Here I love to bird watch, garden, raise chickens, and watch Monty (our tuxedo cat) roam the land. We get frequent visits to our acres from Turkeys, Cows, Deer, Moose, and occasionally Foxes, Coyotes, and Bears.
I am Superwife to my Awesome Husband. I am Mama Bear to my Beautiful Daughter. I live life through Natural living and a Healthy lifestyle. I am JAC.
